Ed Chan left a career in environmental management consulting to pursue one in the hospitality industry.  When studying for his Masters degree in hospitality management at The Hotel School at Cornell University, he found a passion for wine through his coursework.  After completing his degree, Chan held management positions with several leading restaurant groups, including the Fireman Group, Ian Scrager Hotels, and China Grill Management.   Most recently, he was the New York regional wine program director for Houston’s.  In this role, Chan traveled to the Culinary Institute of America Greystone campus in Napa Valley to train Houston’s staff nationally.  Chan will continue his training expertise at Quality Meats, in addition to serving as wine manager.  Chan is certified by the Sommelier Society of America, and is currently pursuing the Master Sommelier designation with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
